A few years ago, my son came home from nursery school and proudly presented a gift he had made for my husband, a doctor, and me, a marketer. The gift was a blue construction paper heart pasted on a delicate white paper doily that read:

Dad: He heals people.

Mom: She works on her computer and has conference calls.

And, I burst into tears.

That innocent gift, made with nothing but love from my son, proceeded to echo in my mind, a signal that I needed to begin a new chapter, a chapter focused on creativity.

I had spent many years working diligently to lead teams of people to meet corporate goals. No matter the project or company, plans never felt realized or even attainable until we had a website.

So, years after receiving my son’s gift, I made myself a website. This site comes to fruition entirely on my terms. No corporate goals, just my own and I look forward to sharing my stories with you!
